Mobile does not automatically mean offline
What works without a connection depends on the application. A downloaded list may be available while other functions still require network access. This distinction matters when planning the count.
Employees need to know which records are on their device and when those records were updated. Otherwise, teams may compare findings against different versions of the register.
What happens when the connection returns?
Locally stored findings move into the shared register according to its synchronisation rules. Repeated submissions and conflicting changes matter, particularly when two teams checked the same item.
Confirmation that a result was accepted distinguishes submitted findings from those still waiting to upload. Finishing a room should not mean losing its records.
Practical benefits depend on preparation
A suitable working mode reduces interruptions in the field. It still needs testing with the actual application, devices and connection conditions. Offline support is useful when it covers the required tasks and the team understands its limits.
