Identify eligible participants clearly

List the entities, identifiers and participation periods. A new branch or group company does not necessarily enter an earlier agreement automatically.

Also establish whether the goal is joint or each participant must achieve it individually. The same combined turnover can produce different outcomes under those rules.

Separate source detail from presentation

The same sale may appear in a customer report and a group summary. These are not two independent amounts to add.

When importing data, distinguish transactions from totals. Identifying the source helps verify completeness and detect duplication before the condition is calculated.

Retain scope changes

Adding an entity or changing an assignment needs a clear date and agreement. Otherwise, settlement may reflect today's organisation structure rather than the terms applicable during the period.

For a commercial manager, a useful record leads from the shared goal to each participant's data. Trade Marketing supports conditions covering several entities, but aggregation must reflect the agreement and avoid counting the same sale again.
